You can’t really rate this place. This place has almost yearly a new owner. What stays is the basic German dishes and local beer. The service staff is bored the whole day, more interested in conversation among themselves than serving customers. On the upper floor ist possible to rent two rooms including a bar segment for events. But be aware of very pricy rates. From the outside the restaurant/pub still looks inviting, the interior fits its local style but as I said everything else is subpar.

The beer doesn't fit Haan. That was better 20-30 years ago. Since then it has been going downhill. Not even better with the new tenant. Pity........

For the time of the gastro lockdown, we decided to use the ToGo variants of Haaner gastronomy more intensively in order to express our solidarity for those affected. The Becherhus formed the prelude. Our conclusion: Both of the traditional winter dishes chosen tasted wonderful and were very, very rich! With a price of less than 10EUR each a recommendable offer! Ordering by phone was uncomplicated and very friendly. Another note for those who live further away: The Becherhus only delivers to your home with an order value of more than 50 EUR!

Delicious food, great atmosphere.

We went there for the first time last Saturday and went home very satisfied (and full). The location is really quaint. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Of course, not everything can go 100% smoothly so soon after the opening. The kitchen is very good, the cook has great ideas and also puts "home cooking" (kale) in the limelight. Of course, there are also extraordinary things (wholemeal penne or raspberry sorbet). The kitchen is also very individual to requests. The owner convinces with his great commitment, a clear plan and great attention to detail. The corona rules are also implemented very well. Keep it up !!

The food was really delicious, the plates were attractively arranged and the side salad also had that certain something. In short: traditional cuisine with a modern interpretation in a cozy atmosphere. The team was very attentive and child-friendly. Everything was fine, so that we had a nice evening and will definitely come again. I would recommend making a reservation, even on a Monday.

The restaurant has a new tenant and we were there on the opening day. The ambience is still rustic and cozy. Unfortunately, the evening was not that cozy. The opening didn't go really smoothly and there were some long faces among the guests. No question about it, the staff was friendly and tried hard, but simply overwhelmed by the high number of guests. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. The waiting time could have been shortened in advance by serving some fresh bread with lard or herb butter. Why does an experienced restaurateur not get this idea? The plates were nicely arranged and the food was warm, but unfortunately the quality of the dishes was mixed. Partly over-spiced, flavor enhancer, Maggi or other ready-made sachets ?. But the cook has to go a long way here! The salads, however, were tasty. At the end of the evening we did not agree whether we would like to visit the restaurant again in the near future. On the other hand, it is clear that it was only a 'snapshot' and everyone deserves a second chance. Let's see ...

Celebrated our silver wedding in Becherhus. From the preliminary talk to the party, everything was very good! Very friendly landlords and employees! From the design of the room, to the hospitality - to the meal we and our guests were more than thrilled. We would like to thank the Becherhus team very much!

A recommended address even in corona times! 👍 The dishes were picked up by phone two days before the desired delivery. The delivery took place on time. As always, the portions were very rich and delicious. A good choice and definitely not the last order at the Becherhus!

Typical German restaurant with a good German decor, very disappointed with a waiter who could not serve us a second beer because it was empty but offers nothing else, we wanted to taste the famous goose specialty of this restaurant for St Martin but too long to prepare for him. Too bad for a restaurant that opened almost 300 years ago.

Nice house with friendly service. More often with events. The food I would call "home-style". The beer, however, is not my thing (ore-swelling mushroom). Otherwise worth a trip to the Becherhus.

Home cooking, good and tastefully done. Very good and nice service. It should be reserved on weekends. Delicious and well-attended lunch. Season ticket is also available. Recommended all around.

Great restaurant with a wide variety of German food in decent portions. You can also go there to enjoy a couple of beers with friends in a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly even in busy nights, and speak English as well.
